A stroll through Vienna and a visit to some of the most famous Coffee houses, such as Griensteidl, Landtmann, Cafe Central, combined with a reading from the books of the ‘Coffee House Writers’ such as Altenberg, Torberg or Weigl, who spent most of their lives in their favourite Coffee House.

ART NOUVEAU AND THE "SECESSION" (Half Day - Walking Tour)

During this tour you will see some of Vienna’s most important and famous buildings of the Art Nouveau era. Because they considered Viennese galleries and exhibitions to be conservative, a number of artists formed a new association called "Secession". In 1897/98 Josef Olbrich built an Art Nouveau Gallery (now called "Secession"), which was donated by the municipal authority of Vienna. The famous "Beethoven Freece", a virtuous interpretation of the 9th symphony, was created by Gustav Klimt for the famous Beethoven exhibition of 1902. Since that time, it has been a permanent display in the New Room on the basement level. The roof, which is made up of gilded leaf patterns, has long been referred to "the Golden Cabbage" by the Viennese. Duration approximately 2,5 hours.

DANUBE VALLEY (Full Day - Bus Tour)

This tour will take you west of Vienna, to the beautiful part of the Danube Valley known as the Wachau. The full day’s journey includes a visit to the magnificent Benedictine abbey of Melk, which is one of the best examples of Baroque architecture in Austria. Lunch will be served in nearby Emmersdorf and will be followed by a boat ride on the Danube past some of the most romantic scenery, such as steep vineyards, apricot orchards and castle ruins. A stop in the picturesque village of Dürnstein, where King Richard the Lionheart of England was held prisoner until rescued by his faithful minstrel Blondel, will round the day off. After this the bus will return along the valley to Vienna.

LEOPOLD MUSEUM (Half Day - Walking Tour)

It is also a progressive, inner-city cultural district that will have an enormous impact on future trends. The Museumsquartier combines baroque buildings, new architecture, cultural institutions of all sizes, different types of art, and recreational facilities in one single spectacular location.
After a short walk through the Museums Quarter, the tour will continue to the Leopoldmuseum. The Leopold collection, which encompasses well over 5,000 pieces of art, was compiled by Rudolf and Elisabeth Leopold in the course of five decades and was transferred to the Leopold Museum private foundation in 1994. This museum houses the most extensive Egon Schiele collection as well as work by Gustav Klimt, Oskar Kokoschka and Richard Gerstl. These famous Austrian artists contributed significantly to the international art scene and share the museum with many other Austrian artists and important objects from the Austrian arts & crafts movement designers, such as Otto Wagner, Adolf Loos and Josef Hoffmann.

HUNDERTWASSER (Half Day - Bus Tour)

Friedensreich Hundertwasser’s artwork is visible throughout Vienna, but the main exhibition of his work is in the KunstHaus (which he converted from a former factory).
During the tour the guests will be shown his architectural projects which are hidden in various areas of the city. They were designed and constructed by the artist himself, who felt strongly about considering the needs of nature and allowed his painting style to greatly affect his work.
This lead to colourful, environmentally conscious buildings with unusual dimensions. Hundertwasser’s architecture is made up of curves, uneven sloping floors, plenty of wood and natural material, flowing mosaics and many trees and plants.
