Neither the Meeting Organizer nor the International Energy Foundation (IEF) will be held accountable for any damage if, for unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond their control, the ENERGEX 2008 Congress & Exhibition cannot be held. Such circumstances include, but are not limited to: war, acts of terrorism, insurrection, civil riots, governmental restrictions on foreign travel, union actions (strikes affecting hotels, airlines, etc.), fire, flood, earthquakes, secession, and any other similar circumstances.

Should the ENERGEX 2008 Congress & Exhibition not be held for any reasons, including these described in the preceding paragraph, any unpaid portion of the amount due referred to above shall be forgiven and the Sponsor discharged from the remainder of its obligations hereunder.
